Without food and drink, the scout and guide won't work

Purchase card
All groups will receive a purchase card after the arrival to the Vendelbo Jamboree.

The sum of money, which is put at disposal for the group, is for food – a purchase of kr. 53 (about Euro 7) per day per scout/guide. The expenses for the community meal at the international day, for the hike and for salad at the scout ball have been subtracted. 
 
The Vendelbo Division has through many years had a really good cooperation with the grocery “Mosbjerg Brugs”, which is also the case this year. The purchase of the group has been paid in the grocery, and you will continuously be drawing from the account of the group. Every day the grocery has bought “the meat of the day” (fx minced beef, chicken and so on). There will always be enough of this meat for everyone, but you choose yourself what to buy. In this way the group decides the menu at the camp and doesn’t have to take care of cash.

The group is bounded to keep their receipt themselves and are in that way responsible for knowing the balance of the account. The card has to be returned at the end of the camp, and in case of any profit, it will be paid into the account of the group.

Please remember the card – otherwise you can’t shop.
Of course you can also always pay with cash, and it’s also possible to pay with Euro.

Fruit stall
We have given it high priority, that it shall be easy to eat fruit. Therefore there will be a fruit stall with free fruit.

Candy stall
Of course there will also be a candy stall at the camp with candy, soda, crisps and ice-cream. We would kindly ask the scouts and guides to use the stall instead of using the grocery. In this way we can keep the scouts and guides on the camp, and make room in the grocery for the bigger food shopping of the group.

Overview of ”the meat of the day” in Brugsen:

• Saturday the 23rd of July: Cutlets
• Sunday the 24th of July: Minced meat (beef)
• Monday the 25th of July: Chicken and turkey (drumsticks and fillets)
• Tuesday the 26th of July: International day with community meal on the camp site
• Wednesday the 27th of July: Minced meat (pork)
• Thursday the 28th of July: Ball, order forms will be handed out to all groups at the arrival to the camp.
• Friday the 29th of July: Diced meat (pork and chicken)
• Saturday the 30th of July: Departure

Information about food for the ball:

Every group will receive an order form for meat and bread. The talented canteen people of the Jamboree will make salad and potatoes for all the participants. The group has to prepare their own meat on the barbecues.

Each group must bring:

• 1 grill for the fire (min size 60x100 cm per 30 scouts and guides in the group). Do you not already have a grill in the group, we can recommend to find an old one from a cooker or something like this to use.
• 1 grill utensil
• 1 glove for the fire
• 1 small spade
• The meat and bread of the group
• Eating utensils for all scouts, guides and leaders in the group.
